i'm alive
hi megan, sorry the rest of us are a bunch of slackers.
my tangent's still alive... last time i checked, that is. i haven't turned it on in months because our wireless router broke and so i can't do anything on it worth turning it on for. i supposed i should get around to getting a new router but i guess it's not that important to me ... like i said, it's been months.
my life is very busy, but like i told megan a few weeks ago, i don't even know what the heck i'm doing all the time! i am consumed with the world tour of beers (getting to be more work than i expected... it's so easy to fall behind pace!), hanging out with the boy, hanging out with my family, trying to keep up with my laundry, etc. also i'm trying to work on moving out... it's becoming a very long process that i hope and pray will be ending soon!
an old friend of mine, amy, who is in the group of girls i've been tight with since way back in 6th grade, just got engaged last week. we of course went out to celebrate and check out the bling, which was really nice. however, our conversation just kept circling around to "what the hell! we're not old enough to get married!! we're in middle school!" ... and really, it's quite bizarre, we're not old enough! the combination of amy's engagement and going to see "knocked up" prompted a somewhat casual conversation with jacob on the topic of rings... and after a few minutes it abruptly ended with my saying "ok can we stop talking about this, i can't breathe" and him going "yeah good idea" hahaha. good times.
i mentioned "knocked up" ... go see it if you haven't yet, it's hialrious. the best thing, i think, about it is that it's very real. it doesn't feel scripted, and everything that they say or do you can imagine one of your friends saying or doing the same thing. my favorite part is when the lovers meet and they're dancing in a club and they just look like they think they look so hot and can dance so well, but really they look like idiots. that's me and everyone i know right there.
