i'm updating
Wow, Carrie, you quit your job! I feel bad that I didn't know that until now, almost a month after you wrote that post. I am a bad keeper-in-touch, as I recently told Sam. Good for you though, clearly it wasn't working so you made a change. No sense in torturing yourself. I need to quit my job... but I assure you 1000% it isn't as stressful as yours was.
Okay here are some numbered updates for you:
1. I'm working on life improvements. I need a new gynecologist (think I found one, she's actually a midwife!), I need a new degree (looking at grad programs for social work), I need a new prescription for my contacts, I need a teeth-cleaning, need to do my taxes, need to update my resume, etc, etc. One thing I have done is join the YMCA and I am slowly getting back into the glorious routine I had back at UD with the recplex.
2. Was dating a cute fireman for a few months, that recently fizzled into nothing. It was fun while it lasted. I'll admit it, I liked that he was a fireman. Can't lie about that one. Now I'm single again but not necessarily on the prowl, just hanging out.
3. The month of April is a busy one! Next weekend I am gracing the campus of Ohio University to have a half-420 reunion with the likes of AddiePatty & HellDogg. Can't wait! The only other time I've been to OU is for sibs weekend when I was 11, so I think this time will be different..... The weekend after that is Dayton which I am very excited about, as well. The weekend after that, my high school chicas and I are road-tripping it to Chicago, just for the heck of it. Drink some beers, maybe catch a Cubs game, a few museums, whathaveyou, etc etc etc.
4. Still loving my apartment. I didn't think I'd like living alone as much as I do. I get lonely once in a while but fortunately, I have too many family members to count living within about 2 miles of me, so that works out pretty well.
5. That may be all I have to say at this moment. That all was slightly less exciting than I was going for. No broken bones or major life changes.
